Will Bank
The bulk lead-import tool: upload a CSV of prospects, map columns, import in batches, and send sign-up invites by email and SMS.
Workflow group: Lead generation · Sidebar: Will Bank Who sees this: Managers & Admins only (plain advisers are redirected to the dashboard).
Will Bank is the bulk lead-import tool. You upload a CSV of prospects, map its columns to the right fields, import the valid rows as a batch, then send those contacts a sign-up invite (email + SMS) using a saved message template. Contacts who accept become leads/clients. The journey is Import CSV → batch → send invites → Leads.
Will Bank (batches overview) - /will-bank
- Intent: The home screen for Will Bank, a bulk lead-import tool. Advisers see every CSV batch they've imported, at-a-glance totals, and how many invites are still waiting to be sent, then drill into a batch or start a new import.
- Who can access it: Managers and Admins only. Plain Advisers are redirected to the Dashboard and shown a "Manager access required" message if they try to open the URL directly (the nav link is hidden for them too).
- What you can do:
- Start a new import by clicking Import CSV (top-right) or, when empty, Import your first CSV - both go to the import wizard.
- Open any batch to manage its contacts, either via the batch name link, the Open button on the card, or by clicking through the card.
- Delete a whole batch (and all its contacts) via the card's ... menu → Delete batch; a confirmation dialog warns it can't be undone.
- What you see:
- A page header with title and a short description of the bulk-import flow.
- Four roll-up stat tiles across all batches: Batches, Contacts imported, Invites sent, and Pending (Pending highlights when above zero).
- A grid of batch cards, each showing the file name, upload date, total row count, a send-progress bar ("X of Y sent" with a percentage), and status badges: All sent (green), N pending, N skipped (invalid rows), or Failed.
- States:
- Loading: a spinner with "Loading batches…".
- Empty: a "No batches yet" panel prompting the first CSV upload.
- Deleting: the delete menu item and confirm button show a busy/disabled state; a toast confirms "Batch deleted" or reports a failure.
- Related pages / flow: Arrive from the main nav (Managers/Admins). Go to Import CSV (
/will-bank/import) to add contacts, or into a batch detail (/will-bank/[id]) to send invites. Contacts who accept an invite become leads/clients visible under Leads (/leads) and the Clients area.
Will Bank batch detail - /will-bank/[id]
- Intent: Work through a single imported batch: review the contacts, filter by send status, and send sign-up invites (email + SMS) individually or in bulk using a chosen message template.
- Who can access it: Managers and Admins only (same guard as the rest of Will Bank).
- What you can do:
- Review the batch's contacts in a table and filter them by status using the All / Pending / Sent / Failed tabs (counts shown for Pending and Sent).
- Search contacts by name or email.
- Send an invite to a single pending contact via the row's Send button.
- Tick multiple pending rows (only pending rows are selectable) and use the sticky Send N bar at the bottom; Clear deselects, and the header checkbox selects/deselects all pending rows currently in view.
- Bulk-send with Send next N pending - enter a number (up to 200 at a time) and the tool pulls that many pending contacts straight from the server, regardless of the current tab/search/page.
- In the Send invite panel that opens before anything is sent: pick a saved message template, review a live email preview and SMS preview built from a real sample contact, jump to Manage templates, then Cancel or Send N invites. The chosen template is remembered across successive sends of the same batch.
- Return to the batches list via the Will Bank back link.
- What you see:
- A hero card: file name, upload date/time, four mini-stats (Imported / Sent / Pending / Skipped), and an overall send-progress bar.
- A bulk-send toolbar (the "Send next N" field and button, plus the search box).
- The contacts table: selection checkbox, row number, name, email, phone, a status badge (Sent / Failed / Pending, with the failure reason shown under a failed badge), and a per-row action (Send for pending, or the sent date for already-sent).
- States:
- Loading: "Loading contacts…" spinner.
- Empty view: "No contacts in this view" when a filter/search matches nothing.
- Disabled: the "Send next N" button is disabled when there are no pending contacts in view or a send is in flight; the Send confirm button is disabled with no template chosen or nothing selected.
- Partial results: after a bulk send, a toast reports full success, all-failed, or a mixed "Sent X, Y failed" (one bad row never aborts the rest).
- Related pages / flow: Arrive from the Will Bank list (
/will-bank) or automatically after committing an import. The Manage template link goes to Message Templates (/settings/message-templates). Successfully invited contacts flow on to become leads/clients (/leads, Clients area).
Will Bank import (CSV wizard) - /will-bank/import
- Intent: A step-by-step wizard that uploads a prospect CSV, auto-maps its columns to the right fields, lets the adviser confirm/adjust the mapping with live previews, and imports the valid rows as a new batch.
- Who can access it: Managers and Admins only.
- What you can do:
- Upload: drag-and-drop a CSV or click to browse (max 5 MB, UTF-8); remove a chosen file; click Continue to analyse it - the tool auto-detects columns and jumps to the first mapping step.
- Navigate steps via the left step rail (jump back to any visited step or the next one), the Back/Next buttons, or Skip on optional steps.
- On each mapping step: pick which CSV column feeds each field (with example values shown), and use Re-detect to re-apply the tool's automatic guess for that step.
- Names: choose "Separate columns" (first / middle / last) or a single "full name" column, and for the single column set the delimiter and name order (first-name-first vs surname-first). First and last name are required.
- Email & phone: map email and/or phone; at least one channel must be mapped to continue (a warning blocks progress otherwise). Phone numbers are normalised to international (+44) format.
- Date of birth (optional): map a DOB column and pick a date format (auto-detect, ISO, UK, US, or long form) to resolve ambiguous dates.
- Address (optional): map separate columns (line 1/2, city, postcode, country) or a single full-address column with a delimiter and per-part overrides (assign each field to a part number, keep auto, or leave empty).
- Other details (optional): map nationality and occupation.
- Review: see the mapping summary (with per-group Edit links back to each step) and a broken-rows table (first 10, dropped rows with row number, field, error code, message).
- Download broken rows as a CSV to fix offline.
- Import N contacts to commit - you're taken to the new batch's detail page and a toast confirms the count imported.
- What you see: A left step rail showing progress (mapped X of Y per step, current/complete markers); a step body with an explainer, an auto-map banner, field pickers, and a live preview panel updating as you change the mapping; and a sticky bottom bar with Back/Next (or Skip), a wizard-progress meter ("Step N of M"), and the final Import button.
- States:
- Analysing / re-checking: spinners while the file is parsed and while the preview re-runs after each change.
- Blocking: Next is disabled on the Contact step until email or phone is mapped; the Import button is disabled while importing or when zero rows are valid.
- Error: toasts for unparseable CSVs, import failures, or "No valid rows to import".
- Related pages / flow: Arrive from the Will Bank list (
/will-bank, via Import CSV). On success you land on the new batch detail (/will-bank/[id]) to start sending invites.
