Advisers
Manage the firm's people: view the roster, invite colleagues, set lead-routing teams, and set role permissions and discount caps.
Workflow group: Company config · Sidebar: Advisers Who sees this: Managers & Admins (list). Inviting advisers and the Permissions page are Admin only.
The Advisers area manages the firm's people: view the roster, invite colleagues, set the lead-routing team each adviser belongs to, and (for admins) set firm-wide role permissions and discount caps.
Advisers - /advisors
- Intent: The roster of everyone in your firm at the currently active company. It's the starting point for viewing an adviser's details, inviting new colleagues, and (for admins) opening role permissions.
- Who can access it: Managers and Admins at the active company (the nav link is hidden from plain Advisers). Viewing the list is open to both; the "Invite adviser" button and "Permissions" link appear only for Admins at the active company.
- What you can do:
- Search the roster by name/email using the search box above the table.
- Sort by name or email, and page through results (10 per page).
- Click any row, or the "View" action at the end of a row, to open that adviser's detail page.
- (Admin only) Click "Invite adviser" to open the invite panel: enter the invitee's email, first name, last name, and pick a role (Adviser, Manager, or Admin), then "Send invite". The person is emailed a link to set a password and join the firm; the same onboarding link is shown back to you so you can copy it and share it directly, and you can immediately "Invite another adviser".
- (Admin only) Click "Permissions" to jump to the role permissions page.
- What you see: A page header with title/subtitle and (for admins) the Permissions and Invite buttons; a searchable, sortable, paginated table with columns Name, Email, Phone, and Address.
- States:
- Loading: table shows its own loading state while the roster fetches.
- Empty: an "empty" message when no advisers match.
- The Invite button is disabled until an active company is selected; the invite form's "Send invite" stays disabled until email, first name, and last name are filled.
- Related pages / flow: Rows go to Adviser detail (
/advisors/[id]). Admin button goes to Adviser permissions (/advisors/permissions). Invites are an alternative to the self-service Join links (/join-links) advisers can use to onboard themselves.
Adviser detail - /advisors/[id]
- Intent: The full profile for one adviser, plus (for admins) the controls to set which lead-routing team they belong to and to manage their membership of the company.
- Who can access it: Reachable by Managers and Admins (via the roster). The profile is visible to both; the Team card and the Manage-adviser card (resend invite / remove) appear only for Admins at the active company.
- What you can do:
- Read the adviser's details: first name, other name, last name, email, phone number, and address.
- Go back to the roster via "Back to advisers".
- (Admin only) Set the adviser's team from the "Team" card's dropdown - this decides which team's enquiries they receive at this company. Every adviser always belongs to a team, so this moves them between teams rather than removing them.
- (Admin only, pending invitees) See a "Pending invite" badge with the note that they haven't set a password yet, and "Resend invite" to send the setup email again; the fresh onboarding link is shown so you can copy it and share it directly.
- (Admin only, not yourself) "Remove from company" - opens a confirmation dialog warning they lose access to this company immediately (their account at any other company is untouched, and you can re-invite later). Confirming removes them and returns you to the roster.
- What you see: A back link, a header with the adviser's name and email, a "Details" card of profile fields, and (for admins) a "Team" card with a team picker and a "Manage adviser" card holding the pending-invite/resend block and the remove control.
- States:
- Loading: skeleton placeholders.
- Error / not found: a red "not found" alert if the adviser can't be loaded.
- The remove control is hidden when viewing your own record; the resend block only appears for pending (not-yet-activated) advisers; buttons disable while sending/removing.
- Related pages / flow: Arrived from Advisers (
/advisors). The team picker ties into Teams (/teams) and lead routing (/leads). Removal returns to/advisors.
Adviser permissions - /advisors/permissions
- Intent: Firm-wide, role-based controls: what each role (Advisers, Managers, Admins) may do with templates, and how far Advisers and Managers may discount a quote.
- Who can access it: Admins at the active company only. Anyone else sees an "Admin only" message and no controls.
- What you can do:
- Template access card - for each role, toggle "Can manage fact-find templates" and "Can manage message templates", and choose which templates that role may pick when building a quote (Any template / Company templates only / Product default only). Changes are staged; "Save template access" (enabled only once something changed) commits them.
- Quote pricing & discounts card - turn "Enable quote price adjustment" on or off for the firm. When on, set "Adviser max discount %" and "Manager max discount %" (0–100; leave blank to disallow that role from discounting). Admins are always uncapped. Save to apply.
- What you see: A back link, page header, and two cards (Template access with per-role toggles and a dropdown; Quote pricing & discounts with a switch and, when enabled, two discount-cap number fields).
- States:
- Non-admin: red "Admin only" alert instead of the cards.
- Loading: "Loading policies…" / "Loading pricing policy…" text.
- Error: red "Could not load policies" / "Could not load pricing policy" alerts.
- Save button disabled until there are unsaved changes; toggles/fields disabled while saving. Discount fields are hidden while price adjustment is off. Success/failure shown via toast.
- Related pages / flow: Arrived from the Advisers list (
/advisors) Permissions button; back link returns there. The discount caps set here constrain adviser/manager pricing on quotes/orders; template settings affect fact-find and message-template management and quote building.
