Dashboard

The adviser's customisable home screen: widgets that summarise leads, orders, fact-finds and billing, with quick jumps into every core area.

Workflow group: Overview · Sidebar: Dashboard Who sees this: Every adviser. Some widgets are Manager/Admin-only.

The dashboard is the adviser's home screen and daily launch pad - a customisable grid of widgets that summarise what needs attention and link straight into every core area of the app.

Dashboard - /dashboard

  • Intent: The adviser's home screen and daily launch pad. It shows an at-a-glance, fully customisable grid of widgets summarising what needs attention (leads, orders, fact-finds, billing) and gives quick jumps into every core area of the app.
  • Who can access it: Every advisor. Some widgets are gated to Manager/Admin at the currently active company: the Billing row and the Billing trend widget are hidden (and kept out of the "Add widget" menu) for plain advisers. The "Outstanding invoices" tile inside the top action-queue and the "Billing" shortcut in Quick actions are likewise elevated-only.
  • What you can do:
    • Read the greeting ("Hello, ") and scan your widgets without any interaction.
    • Click Customise (top right) to enter edit mode; click Done to leave it. Your layout is remembered between visits (stored on your device).
    • While customising:
      • Add widget - open the dropdown and pick any widget not currently on the grid; disabled/"all added" when nothing is left to add. Elevated-only widgets only appear here for Managers/Admins.
      • Reset - restore the default widget arrangement; asks you to confirm first (destructive confirm dialog).
      • Drag to reorder - grab a widget by its grip handle and drop it in a new position (keyboard-accessible with screen-reader narration).
      • Resize width - use the minus/plus stepper on each widget to step its width through its allowed sizes (shown as ¼ / ½ / ¾ / Full); disabled at the min/max.
      • Tall toggle - for widgets that support it (recent leads, recent orders, clients), switch between normal and tall height (tall shows more rows).
      • Pipeline view toggle - the pipeline widget shows a Summary / Board segmented control here instead of the tall switch; Summary is the compact strip, Board is the full Kanban.
      • Remove a widget - the X button removes it; a toast with an Undo action lets you put it back in place.
    • Click through the live widgets (outside edit mode):
      • Action queue tiles jump to: unaccepted triage/new leads → /leads; draft orders → /orders; fact-finds sent over 7 days ago → /orders; outstanding invoices (Manager/Admin) → /billing.
      • Pipeline - "View all" → /orders; a Retry button appears if it fails to load.
      • Recent leads - each row → that lead (/leads/<id>); "View all" → /leads.
      • Recent orders - each row → that order (/orders/<id>), with a status badge; "View all" → /orders.
      • Join links - shows active invites / total clicks / total sign-ups; "Manage" → /join-links.
      • Billing (Manager/Admin) - month-to-date gross & net, outstanding balance; "View" → /billing. If Stripe Connect isn't fully active it instead shows a warning banner linking to /onboarding.
      • Billing trend (Manager/Admin, hidden by default) - a revenue sparkline; "View" → /billing.
      • Clients (hidden by default) - total client count plus recent names; "View all" → /users.
      • Quick actions (hidden by default) - shortcut buttons to /leads, /orders, /join-links, /products, and (Manager/Admin) /billing.
  • What you see: A page header greeting, a customise toolbar, and a responsive 4-column widget grid. Default layout leads with the pipeline and the action-queue stat row, then recent leads, recent orders, join links, and (for elevated users) the billing row.
  • States:
    • Loading: a placeholder skeleton grid until your saved layout has loaded; individual widgets show their own skeletons while fetching.
    • Error: each widget shows its own inline error with a Retry button, so one failing area never blanks the whole dashboard.
    • Empty: individual lists say e.g. "no recent leads"; if you remove every widget, an empty-state card offers a Reset button.
    • Disabled: width minus/plus greyed at the size limits; "Add widget" shows "all added" when the grid is full.
  • Related pages / flow: Reached automatically after login and from the sidebar. Nearly every widget links out to /leads, /orders, /join-links, /billing, /products, or /users.
