Complete your company setup (onboarding)
Finish the InLeef onboarding wizard: confirm your subscription payment and connect Stripe so your firm can take payments.
Before you can take payments, your firm needs a live subscription and a connected Stripe account. The Setup wizard walks you through it. Once both are done, the Setup item disappears from the sidebar for good.
Where: click Setup in the sidebar (Overview group), or go to /onboarding.
Good to know: this page refreshes itself every few seconds - as Stripe confirms each step, the wizard advances on its own. You don't need to reload. The footer always reminds you: "This page refreshes automatically as Stripe sends us updates."
The four steps
At the top you'll see a stepper: Details → Payment → Stripe Connect → Done.
- Details is already ticked (your registration created these records).
- Payment activates first, then Stripe Connect, then Done.
The heading reads "Almost there" with the subtitle "Finish setting up {your company} so you can start taking payments."
Step A - Confirm the subscription payment
The card in the middle shows the current step's action.
- If payment is still processing, you'll see "Waiting for payment confirmation" - just wait; the page updates itself when Stripe confirms.
- If a payment failed, the card shows "Payment couldn't be completed". Click "Retry payment" (it briefly reads "Opening Stripe…"), which sends you to Stripe's checkout in the same window. Complete payment there.
Once the subscription is active, the wizard moves you to the Stripe Connect step automatically.
Step B - Connect your Stripe account
You'll see "Connect your Stripe account" with a reassurance panel titled "What this step actually does" (it explains that Stripe creates a separate connected account, that identity verification is a legal requirement, and that it's a one-time step).
- Click "Connect Stripe" (briefly "Opening Stripe…"). You're redirected to Stripe's Connect onboarding.
- Complete Stripe's form (your name, date of birth, business details - the standard merchant checks).
- You'll be returned to this page automatically.
If Stripe needs more from you:
- "Finish Stripe Connect onboarding" with a "Resume Stripe onboarding" button - click it to pick up where you left off.
- "Stripe needs more information" with an "Action required" alert - Stripe paused payments until you supply the extra details; click "Resume Stripe onboarding".
Step C - You're all set
When the subscription and Stripe Connect are both active, the card reads "You're all set" - "Subscription and Stripe Connect are both active. You can take payments now."
- Click "Go to dashboard".
- The Setup item disappears from your sidebar.
If you see "No company found"
This means your adviser account isn't linked to a company yet.
- The safest action is to contact support.
- The page also offers a destructive "Delete my account" button (with a "Delete your account?" confirmation) if you signed up in error. Only use this if you're sure - it removes your adviser profile and you'd have to sign up again.
