Your profile & two-factor security
Complete your adviser profile, add a photo, set per-company display details, and turn on two-factor authentication.
Fill in the details clients and colleagues see, add a photo, and protect your account with two-factor authentication (2FA).
Where: click your name/avatar at the bottom of the sidebar → "Profile", or go to /profile. The heading reads "Your profile".
Your email isn't editable here - it's shown read-only.
Update your personal details
In the "Personal details" card, fill in the form (these are your defaults across every company you belong to):
- "Profile picture" - upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP, max 5 MB.
- "First name"
- "Middle / preferred name" (optional)
- "Last name"
- "Job role" - e.g. Senior Adviser.
- "Mobile number" - international format, e.g.
+447000000000. - "Address" - start typing a postcode or address and pick from the lookup.
- Click "Save changes." You'll get a "Profile updated." confirmation.
Set how you appear at a specific company (multi-company only)
If you belong to more than one company, you can override your name, phone and job title per company (handy when one firm prefers "Dr Smith" and another "Jane").
- In the "Per-company display" card, click "Edit per-company display" (or use "Company profile" in your avatar menu) →
/profile/company. - It edits the currently active company (shown as "Active company: {name}"). Switch companies first if you want to edit a different one.
- Fill in any of "First name", "Middle / preferred name", "Last name", "Job role", "Mobile number", "Address". Each placeholder shows the value that would be inherited from your main profile.
- Leave a field blank to inherit from your main profile.
- Click "Save changes."
Single-company advisers don't need this - you're taken straight back to your profile.
Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA)
Find the "Two-factor authentication" card (full width, near the bottom of your profile). The badge shows "On" or "Off".
- Click "Enable two-factor".
- Confirm your password to start setup, then click "Continue".
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Authy, 1Password, Google Authenticator, etc.), or use the "enter this code manually" secret.
- Save your recovery codes. You get 10 one-time codes - copy them somewhere safe or click "Download as .txt". You won't be shown them again.
- Enter the current 6-digit code from your app and click "Verify and turn on".
- You'll see "Two-factor authentication is on."
Managing 2FA later
- "Regenerate recovery codes" - issues a fresh set (the old ones stop working). Confirm with your password + a current code, then "Generate new codes" and save/download them.
- "Disable two-factor" - confirm with your password + a current authenticator or recovery code, then "Disable".
There's no separate "change password" screen in the adviser app right now - account security here is the 2FA card. Use the login screen's "Forgot password" flow if you need to reset it.
